We started the project by identifying the design needs, constraints, and requirements, and by studying the end-user demographics. We put effort into understanding Mr. Rai’s vision and expectations and outlining how the Studio 2.0 team can add value to the business Mr. Rai had in mind. Then, we started gathering information about the design challenges we would face such as existing competition around the site, marketing strategies, etc. We also did a thorough site analysis. Collecting ample information about the business concept and site allowed us to have a deeper understanding of the existing challenges and conditions.
After analyzing the collected information, we started brainstorming ideas and exploring all possibilities with the team and Mr. Rai. It allowed us to come up with the idea of creating a vibrant space for Mr. Rai’s customers – the space would also act as a backdrop for the food that was going to be served at the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of conceptual, schematic design, design development, and construction drawings. Ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and adherence to project specifications throughout.
- Preparation of renderings and presentation drawings to effectively communicate design concepts enabling stakeholders to visualize and engage with the project’s envisioned outcomes.
- Participation in owner, consultant, and contractor meetings. Contributing insights, facilitating discussions, and ensuring alignment among parties to maintain design integrity and meet project goals.
- Selection of interior finishings, paint, and furniture. Ensuring that these elements complemented the design vision, met quality standards, and fulfilled client requirements.
